Journey through the evolution of Team 5526 Type C from our founding to today.

In 2022 Team 5526 Type C emerged with a fresh vision for robotics excellence. With the steadfast support of our principal sponsor, Peñoles, we've quickly established ourselves as an innovative force in the FIRST Robotics Competition, focusing on comprehensive STEM education and community impact.

The Birth of Type C

Team 5526 Type C was established with a groundbreaking vision for robotics education, bringing fresh energy and innovative approaches to competitive robotics. Our founding marked the beginning of a new era in STEM education at the American School of Torreón.

Red Claw & Blue Claw Launch

We expanded our impact to younger students by establishing two dynamic FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams: Red Claw and Blue Claw. These teams opened new opportunities for elementary school students to develop critical thinking and robotics skills while embracing the spirit of gracious professionalism.

Code C: Bridging the Gap

We launched Code C, our FIRST Tech Challenge team, creating a crucial bridge between FLL and FRC programs. This strategic addition enables middle school students to develop advanced engineering and programming skills while preparing for future FRC challenges.

Robopollos: Early Innovation

The introduction of our FLL Explore team, Robopollos, marked our commitment to early STEM education. This program ignites curiosity and creativity in our youngest students, laying the foundation for their future journey through our robotics programs.

A Complete STEM Pathway

Type C now offers a comprehensive robotics education pathway, spanning all FIRST competition levels. From Robopollos (FLL Explore) to Red Claw and Blue Claw (FLL Challenge), through Code C (FTC), and culminating in our FRC team, we provide continuous opportunities for students to grow their STEM skills throughout their academic journey.
